
Definition of e-business ( = use of eletronic means to conduct an organization's business internally and/or externally)
Today, in a world where different forms of devices like smpartphones, tablets,... are continuously developing, e-business is taking a lot of importance.
According to the book (E-Commerce 2014,10E, by Kenneth Laudon), the definition of e-business is

" to refer primarily to the digital enabling of transactions and processes within a firm, involving information systems under the control of the firm".

E-business and e-commerce are actually two different things. The definition of e-commerce is "the use of the Internet, the Web, and apps to transact business. More formally, digitally enabled commercial transactions between and among organizations and individuals". The term exchange of value is important if you want to understand what is the e-commerce, it means simply that whitout an exchange of value , no commerce occurs. E-commerce is also the use of the Internet , the World Wibe Web.
